TET means Teacher Eligibility Test whereas NET means National Eligibility Test. The TET is conducted separately by the State and Central governments. The Net exam is conducted by the UGC to recruit professors or research assistants in various fields of education. Meanwhile, TET exam is conducted to recruit teachers in various private and government schools. The basic eligibility for NET is Masters degree and that for TET is Bachelor’s degree.
