I would like to do BCA. So, can you tell me what are the basic admission requirements for getting BCA in any colleges in any part of India? Like, minimum education score and Intermediate subject combination, any entrance needed and is Mathematics compulsory in Intermediate?

The basic admission requirements to do BCA Course:
Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 in any relevant stream with English as Main subject.
Admission Process is either by entrance exam or by merit basis.
No, mathematics is not compulsory in Intermediate to do BCA Course.

BCA (Bachelors in Computer Application) is a three year undergraduate degree course.

To get admission into the BCA course, you do not need to have Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects in Class 12th. Infact, candidates who have Arts or Commerce in class XII can also join this course.

Basic eligibility requirements for a BCA course:

Aspirants must have passed 10+2 from any stream with English as a subject with minimum 45% to 55% marks in aggregate (the pass percentage might vary from college to college).

Some colleges/universities admit aspirants on merit basis, while the others admit students on the basis of entrance examination.

The eligibility criteria might differ from college to college.

Top recruiting organizations=IT & Software Companies
Top recruiting areas=Software Development, Testing, Digital Markting, etc.
Average Course Fee=Rs 70,000 - 2 Lakh
Average Starting Salary=Rs 2 Lakh - 8 Lakh

Eligibility criteria:
-A candidate must have qualified 10+2 with at least 45% marks or above in any stream (science, commerce, arts) with English as a mandatory subject.
-Admission is mostly done through the entrance exams like IPU-CET. But many colleges take admission on merit based.
*Mathematics is not compulsory in Intermediate but English is compulsory.
