You can prepare for degree and along with it prepare for bank entrance examination. There is no banking examination at 10+2 educational qualification so you need to take admission in degree.

You can prepare for examination as per syllabus along with degree in these three or four years to qualify in the banking entrance examination.

I would request you to complete graduation first if giving banking exams is your top priority since most of the banking exams asks for a mandatory graduate degree in any discipline of your choice. Thus with an intermediate degree you wont be eligible to apply for most of the banking exams.

Since the subject at graduation level is not a concern therefore you should choose one wisely which are confident you can pull it off properly and which will help you acquire good marks too at the same time. Just make sure the degree is attained from a good college and these days most of the banking exams do not entertain a correspondence degree anymore so getting a regular degree should be your topmost priority.

Top Banking Exams in India:-
  • SBI Clerk Exam
  • SBI PO Exam
  • SBI Specialist Officer's Exam
  • IBPS Clerk CWE
  • IBPS PO CWE
  • BOB PO Exam
  • GIC Exam
  • IBPS Specialist Officer Exam
  • RBI Exam and so on
While studying you can simultaneously start preparing for banking exams preferable from the final year. In that way you will get more preparation time. To get professional help , getting enrolled in a coaching centre wont be a bad idea then. Apart from getting access to the best study materials you will get a chance to sit for several mock tests to hone your skills as well.

  • Cerebrum Institute
  • Vidya Guru

As per your question after completing the 12th class, you can't appear in the banking examination. The minimum educational qualification is graduation in any stream.

To appear in the IBPS PO/Clerk, you must be a graduate. So, first you must complete your graduation degree in any stream and then think about the banking sector examination. You may choose any stream in graduation degree as per own wish. The competition is really tough due to large number of candidates.

Every year approx 12 lakhs candidate appear in the IBPS examination but only few thousand candidates qualify the examination. So, you need to prepare well for the exam.

Having completed your intermediate you should first go for your degree course because you are looking for preparing for bank examinations and to be eligible for the same one needs to be a bachelor degree holder.

So, the best option for you will be to go for the graduation degree course with any subject which lies to your interest and strength so that you have wide range of career options apart from banking world. Meanwhile you can start your preparation for bank examination too by joining any coaching and getting the habits which are essential for clearing the bank examination like solving problems related to reasoning, aptitude and current affairs.

---No,on the basis of 12th standard, you are not eligible to join any Banking sector or Bank exams too.

--You must passed Graduation with minimum of 50-60%Mark's as the Graduation is the minimum qualification.
