Sir, I have completed my Diploma Mechanical Engineering and BA first year. But, I have not done Higher Secondary (Intermediate). Am I eligible for Police Constable.

You are eligible to apply for the post of police constable. The required educational qualification to apply for the police constable is that candidate must have passed intermediate or equivalent qualification.

So, on the basis of the qualification you can apply for the examination. As Police is a state subject under 7th schedule of the Indian Constitution, examination is conducted by the state recruiting body
