What is the eligibility criteria followed to become a civil judge?


What is the eligibility criteria followed to become a civil judge? Can you let me know the minimum criteria on the same? It will be really helpful if you can provide me the information on the same? Awaiting to get the answer soon. THanks!

The required eligibility criteria for civil judge as given below::::::::::::::::::>>>>>>>>>>.

>> The applicant should have completed Graduation in Law from a recognized University with good academic record.

>> The age of candidate must be minimum of 21 years and not be greater than 35 years.

# Steps involved in becoming judge are:

* First of all, one has to pursue the legal degree from a recognised university.
* Thereafter, one has to enrolled himself/herself as an advocate with membership in the State Bar Council.
* Thereafter, one has to appear in the Judicial Service Examination conducted every year by Public Service Commission of the concerned States.
* The required age limit for appearing in the Judicial Service Examination vary from State to State.


# The pattern, level and syllabus of the Judicial Services Examination may vary from State to State.


# Prescribed general syllabus for Judicial Services Examination:

* Constitution of India
* Evidence Act
* Indian Penal Code (IPC)
* Civil Procedure Code (CPC)
* Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.P.C)
* Local laws at State level like Land Laws, Excise Laws, rent etc.


# Required personal qualities and attributes for aspirant are:

* Sense of responsibility
* Ability to work hard with speed under pressure
* Excellent public speaking
* Decision making skill
* Honesty
* Impartiality
* Courtesy, mercy and self-confidence
* Logical reasoning
* Analytical reasoning
* Debating skill

I completed my llb with 2yrs of intermittent break while doing llb due to some other professional commitments .it is regular course and I am 36 yrs old OBC female .Am I eligible to junior civil judge exam
