Both of the discipline has equal importance. Science is required to create new technology, machinery, medicine etc to help human save live, time and energy. Commerce is required to control the economy. The economy of a country depends on commerce.
Accountancy and tax are all part of commerce. Hence, you can understand how important it is for the development of a nation and human race.

In the both field there is enormous future prospects.
