I have scored 546 in GATE. What are the chances of admission in IIT in Computer Science branch? And, I belong to Schedule Caste (SC) category candidate. Is there any relaxation for SC candidates?

Note that for getting admission into IITs for post graduation programme (especially M.Tech), you must have a valid GATE score. Without valid GATE score, you can't get admission there.

And for SC candidates, following academic requirements are there for direct and entrance based admission.

M. Tech./ M. Tech. (High-Value Assistantship)/ M.S.(R) (Direct Admission without test/interview)
70% marks or 7.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale
M. Tech./ M. Tech. (High-Value Assistantship)/ M.S.(R) (Admission with test/interview)
55% marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10- point scale

GATE Cutoff 2018 IIT Delhi

• Chemical Engineering - 560 (Direct Admission), 450 (Interview shortlisting)
• Computer Science & Engg. - 900 (Direct Admission), 550 (Interview shortlisting)
• Production Engineering - 500
