I am doing b-tech(ece) from GIMET amritsar,PUNJAB.I am very much conscious regarding my career.I will prefer a government job.So i want to be prepared from now on.
I read about jobs under engineering services examination on your website.

So mainly i want to know about job opportunities after my b-tech under central/state government and all your guidance for preparation ,that is how i need to prepare,strategy i need to adopt now and all that is relevant.

govt sector job-

isro, drdo, bhel, bel, sail, ntpc ,bsnl jto ,barc ,nic ,bank po etc

this is the best comany where cse is applicable.

Also you can apply every govt jobs....

Job Opportunities after B.Tech in ECE course :

Electronics and communication engineering is the good branch and after
completing the B.Tech course in the ECE branch you can appear in the
many government examination. Many field available in the government
sector for the B.Tech holder with ECE branch.

You can get a job in the following sector :

->Railway Sector.

Its good that you are so much concerned about your career.Here are the steps which you need to follow to achieve your aim.
1.First of all have a very clear knowledge of the subjects that you are studying in your btech career(except for some which are not in any psu syllabus)

2.Do appear in GATE because that score will help you throughout your life.
If you score 95 %ile and above you wil be called directly for interview in many PSUs like NTPCetc.

3.Have syllabus of different PSUs which are almost similar to GATE and See previous years questions.

Dude anfer mechanical ECE is such a branch which contains most of the gov. jobs.As I am also a engineer so I like to suggest you that you should start to improve your general knowledge, Reasoning as these are such common things usually asked in all the gov. job exams.

Friend as you are doing B-tec in ECE which is acc to me one of the best branches. There are so many gov. job oppertunities in ECE.
As you are asking what to do after B.tec, friend as if you are intrested in the secure and safe jobs that is gov. jobs you should do M.tec. Here you will be purley technical man.
But the best combination the experienced persions tell and i also like is the b.tec with MBA for the private jobs, and also for public sector jobs. Here you can make a lot of money.
So if u like to follow me, B.tec with MBA is the best combination.

After Completion of BTECH, you can apply for many government jobs.

>> Engineering services exams:
This exam is conducted by UPSC
Eligibilty is BE/BTECH pass
Age should be between 21 and 30 years

>> SSC Combined Graduate level exams:
Eligibilty is Graduation pass
Age should be between 18 to 27 years

>> BSNL JTO Exams:
Eligibilty is BE/BTECH in IT, telecommunications, Computers, Electronis
Maximum age to apply is 30 years

>> SBI PO exams
Eligibilty is Graduation pass
Age should be between 21 to 30 years

>> GATE Exams:
GATE exams are conducted by IIT
