What is the marking scheme of Chartered Accountant CPT exam?
Dear Sir/Madam, could you please tell me the marking scheme CPT exam of Chartered Accountancy course? Is it MCQ based? In MCQ generally there is negative marking. Is there negative marking in CPT also?

CPT refers to Common Proficiency Test and it is a four hour test conducted in two sessions of 2 hour each.
Further, the each session of CPT is of 100 marks comprising of two sections of 50 marks each and therefore overall CPT is of 200 marks consisting of 200 MCQ type questions of one mark each across all the four sections. The marking scheme used for evaluation is as below :- --> One mark for each correct response. --> minus 0.25 for each incorrect response. --> No marks for unattempted questions. |
