CTET stands for Common Teacher Entrance Test. The CTET exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) every year.

There are two levels in the CTET exam :-

1.Primary Level Teachers :- You must be 12th passed out with minimum 50% marks from a recognised board.

2.Junior Level Teachers :- You must be a graduate from a recognised University

Paper 1 is for Primary level teachers.

Paper 2 is for Junior level teachers.

There is no age limit to appear and qualify in the CTET exam.

Selection Procedure :-
1.Written Test
2.Personal Interview

CTET Eligibility: Age & Qualification
Applicant must be a citizen of India to be eligible for CTET.

There is no age restriction, however, candidate must be minimum 17 years of age.

Candidates have to fulfill different eligibility according to their wish to be a Primary or Elementary Teacher.
The basic eligibility for the exam is a graduation and a 2-year diploma in elementary education with minimum 45-50% marks.

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in various Central Government schools.

There is no specific maximum age limit to pass the CTET. Candidates of any age can appear for the CTET exam, provided they meet the eligibility criteria such as educational qualifications, etc.

However, it's important to note that the CTET certificate is valid for a period of seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories. Candidates can apply for teaching positions in Central Government schools during this validity period.

Therefore, if a candidate passes the CTET exam at an older age, the validity of their certificate will be for the same period of seven years as any other candidate who clears the exam.
