Hi, I am a Mechatronics Engineer. Am I eligible for the post of Assistant Engineer in Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB)? Can I apply and write the TANGEDCO recruitment examination? And, what is the pay scale of AE in TNEB?

TNEB recruits engineering graduates of streams like Electrical, CS/IT, Mechanical and Civil for Assistant Engineer post.

Minimum requirement is engineering in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/CS/IT from a recognized Engineering college.

Since, you are from Mechatronics branch, so you may not get opportunity for TNEB recruitment.

Pay Scale for AE in TNEB
Rs.39800 - Rs.126500/- (Level-1 of Officer Pay Matrix)

Even then, you can contact recruitment team whether they recruit Mechatronics graduates also.

Eligibility criteria:-
1)Qualification:-A Bachelor degree in EEE/ECE/EIE/CSE/IT Engineering. OR
A pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) under Electrical Engineering Branch OR
Equivalent recognized by the UGC.
2)Age limit:-18 – 30 Years
3)Application Fee:For OC, BCO, BCM and MBC/ DC candidates: Rs.1000/-
For SC, SC(A), ST, Destitute widow and Differently abled persons: Rs.500/-
4)Selection will be based on an online examination in objective types in the
Engineering standard..
5)One can apply online www.tangedco.gov.in
6)Pay Scale:- Rs 39,800-1,26,500/Month( fresher)
