What is the minimum marks required to pass in each section of SSC MTS? Can you please give me the pattern of the exam followed? It will be really helpful if you can provide me the answer soon as possible. Need to start the preparation soon.

To pass in every section is not compulsory. There is overall cut off. You need to score more than cut off marks. Cut off marks is different every year.

Selection Criteria for SSC MTS exam is that candidate must have passed the Xth Standard. SSC MTS selection will be done on the basis of written test and document verification. SSC MTS exam consists of Paper 1 (Objective type) and Paper 2 (Descriptive type).
Paper 1 - General Intelligence and Reasoning (25 marks - 25 questions)
Numerical Aptitude (25 marks - 25 questions)
General English (50 marks - 50 questions)
General Awareness (50 marks - 50 questions)

One who qualifies in Paper 1 are eligible to write Paper 2. Negative marking o 0.25 marks will be given for each wrong answer.

Paper 2 - Short Essay Letter in English. This test is conducted to assess the elementary language skills.

Cut off marks in Paper - 1 and qualifying marks in paper 2 will be decided by the commission based on vacancies available in different states.

SSC Multi Tasking Staff (SSC MTS) exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission. You are interested to know about the exam pattern and minimum marks required to pass in each section to qualify for this exam.

**Basically there is no sectional cut off in this exam. It means that it does not matter how much marks you have secured in each section. If you overall score more marks than cut off then you are selected for Descriptive type exam which is just of qualifying nature.

**The written exam consists of 150 questions in 2 hours duration.

I am from obc and my preference state is Gujarat had got only 58 marks in ssc maths 2017 and is there chance to quantify the exam
