What is the minimum qualification required to be eligible for IPS entrance exam?

IPS stands for Indian Police Service. IPS entrance examination is mainly known as civil service examination.

This examination is carried out by UPSC[Union Public Service Commission] once in a year.

This exam has three stages.. 1. Preliminary, 2. Main Exam, 3. Interview, 4. Physical Test.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
->>Candidate must have completed Graduation degree in any strea from recognized Institute.

->>If candidate appearing in the final year exam are also eligible to appear in this examination.

->>Candidate age should be in between 21 to 30 years. Candidate must have an Indian citizenship.

->>If candidate has completed M.B.B.S. then can also apply for IPS exam.

->>Girls & boy. Unmarried/Male all are eligible to appear in thsi exam.

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

Qualification required to be eligible for IPS Civil Service Exam:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National
-Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate
-Should have possessed good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Physical Requirement for aspiring candidate for IPS:-

HEIGHT:-General Male-165cm, Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm

CHEST:- Male-85cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

Weight should as proportionate to candidate's height and age.

Eye sight should be perfect without any optical device.

#The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS examination conducted by UPSC every year is Graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university.
#Age limit to apply for IPS exam is 21-32 years and the age relaxations are 3 years for OBC candidates,5 years for SC/ST candidates
#And the maximum number of attempts allowed are, 4 for General category & 7 for OBC candidates & there is no such restriction for SC/ST candidates.
#The selection procedure of IPS exam is preliminary exam,main examination,personal interview and medical fitness test.
