Candidates need to score a minimum cut off in each of the papers. This is different for candidates belonging to different categories. Cut off percentage of Paper I and Paper II is 40% marks. For Paper III, the cut off marks required is 50%. 5% marks is relaxable for OBC category candidates. The same rule is applicable for SC/ST candidates, but different in Paper III. In Paper III, the cut off percentage required is 40% only.

NET Exam conducted for JRF , Lectureship , PHD Admission Eligibility : Candidates must complete master degree with min of 55% aggregate from a recognized University , 50% aggregate for SC/ST Candidates Age Limit for JRF : candidates age limit not more then 28 years Age relaxation as per govt rules Age Limit for Lectureship : There are no age limits Exam Pattern : NET Examination Dates 2013 : Last date for applying online & generation of filled Bank challan for Fee : 03.05.2013 Last date of submission of fee through online generated bank challan , at any branch of SBI : 06.05.2013 Last date of taking printout of application form , attendance slip & Admit card from UGC website : 09.05.2013 Last date for receiving the printout of online application form & attendance slip at the respective coordinating university opted by the candidates : 13.05.2013 |

The abbreviation of UGC is University Grants Commission. The abbreviation of NET is national Eligibility Test. University Grants Commission organizes National Eligibility Test every year for two times in June and December months. National Eligibility Test is organized or these two positions below mentioned:- # Junior Research Fellowship. # Lectureship. The educational Qualifications regarding with National Eligibility Test are below mentioned:- # Candidates must have finished their master degree in any curriculum with 55% marks from any approved institution. # Candidates belong to SC/ST category need 50% marks for this exam. # Candidates of last year of master degree are also preferable for this exam. Age limit and relaxation regarding with National Eligibility Test are below mentioned:- # 20-28 years:- Junior Research Fellowship. # Lectureship:- Not assumed. # Citizenship:- Must be Indian. NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam conducted by University Grant Commission. Eligibility Criteria: Candidate should be origin of India. Candidate should complete the Master Degree from any recognized University. Candidate should have min 55% of marks in Master Degree. 5% of marks relaxation for SC\ST Candidates. There is no upper age limit for the Candidate Lectureship. But the JRF candidates age limit is not more than 28 years. all the best....... |

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam conducted for Lectureship and JRF(Junior Research Fellowship). UGC(University Grants Commission) conducting this exam every year twice. Eligibility criteria:- The applicant should be complete Master's graduation with atleast 55% of marks from a recognised university. 5% of marks relaxation for SC/ST category candidates. Candidate should be a citizen of India. Final year Master's graduation students are also eligible. Age criteria:- For JRF:- The maximum age limit is 28 years and no minimum age limit. 3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
