Re: What are the openings in Testing field? Which companies are going to conduct off campus
Testing is one of the most demanded fields in the IT Industry. It deals with the quality check of various software, applications, systems, servers and more so that they comply with the requirements as stated by the client. Just as the name suggests, Testing is the checking of a developed code/software to check whether it is functioning as per the requirements or not.
As far as the openings in the testing field are concerned, there are many companies that keep looking for testing engineers, quality engineers etc. However, there is a particular way one must apply to them. First of all, ensure which field are you from. If you are from CSE/IT Engineering branches, then getting a job in the IT Industry would be really viable. However its not true that other field students cannot get a job. There are many job portals in India some of which are Naukri.com, Timesjobs.com, Monster, Shine Jobs etc. It is always a good idea to make a good resume and upload your CV on these portals to get better job opportunities. On the other hand, ensure that you are doing some testing courses such as Automation Testing, QTP, Selenium, Manual Testing, Functional Testing and more to gain the basic knowledge about the domain. Doing this would really server helpful to you during the interviews and other relevant tests. Finally, Most of the top IT Companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, iGtate etc recruit testing engineers every now and then however giving the national level aptitude tests is a necessity for them. Please try to appear for AMCAT and Elitmus exams which are employability tests to help you get placed in corporate companies. These are considered as best ways of getting off campus placements as they judge you on the basis of your performance in their tests and then lets you appear for direct interviews with these companies that recruit through them. Thus, testing is a promising career option and there is no doubt to the fact that many testing professionals are even sitting onsite to various other countries. It is hence very nice that you are considering this option and working towards the same. |
