Hi! Few things that you should keep in mind while pursuing Btech. That are :-

Always maintain a good percentage or cgpa throughout every semester.
You can have backlogs but please clear it before your 6th semester as after that companies start coming to campuses.
Start learning few technologies related to your area of interest in Electrical and Electronics like Embedded System, PLC Scada etc. This will help you gain knowledge of jave or C also as embedded systems needs programming.
Grab the best industrial training or internship in your 3rd year and try to know about everything how it works etc.
Participate in inter-coll
Start working on your speaking, listening and writing skills as it will help in your interview process.
(Optional)And when the final day i.e interview day comes be well groomed and were a suit if possible and then go with full confidence in the interview room.
