I have gone through a stomach surgery in 2019. Please tell me that I am physically fit for the indian foreing service examination

To become an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, candidates have to undergo a rigorous selection process that includes a physical test along with written exams and interviews. The medical examination assesses the candidate's overall health, vision, hearing, and other physical attributes to ensure they are fit for the demanding responsibilities of an IFS officer.

If you are talking about Indian Foreign Services then there shouldn't be any issues with your stomach surgery. Such tough physical fitness criteria are mostly for IPS officers and other armed forces jobs. For any other gazetted officer's job which doesn't have any physical training before joining, there isn't any issue with stomach surgery.

Just make sure you fulfill all the other requirements like height, weight, nationality, etc. If you have passed the exam and fulfilled the eligibility then nobody will stop you from joining.

The physical requirement to become an IFS officer is given below.

1) Minimum chest expansion of 84 cm with a 5 cm expansion.

2) Distance vision for good eyesight is 6/6 or 6/9, whereas for bad eyes it is 6/12 or 6/9.

3) A normal ear cavity can hear between 1000 to 4000 hertz.

4) The level of impairment shouldn't exceed 30 dB.
