Hi, can anybody please update me about the physique requirements to be eligible to apply for the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UP-PSC) examination? Any relaxation for any caste category?

Physical standards-

For the post of D.S.P
Males-
Height- 165 CMS

Male(ST)
Height-160cms

Chest unexpanded- 84cms and expanded-89 CMS.

For the post of district commandent home guards
Height should be minimum 165 CMS.
Unexpanded chest must be 84 and expanded must be 89 CMS.


Age relaxation is given to reserved category students of 5 years in upper age limit.

Physique requirements for UP PSC exam:

For the post of Excise inspector:
Height should be minimum 167 CMS and unexpanded chest should be 81.2 CMS and expanded must be 86 CMS.

Female candidates (SC/ST)minimum height should be 147 cms and 152 for others.


For the post of DSP:
Minimum height should be 165 CM and unexpanded chest must be 84 CM and expanded must be 89 CM.

Minimum height should be 152 cm and 147 for St candidates.
Minimum weight should be 40 kg.
