After 12th you have to join engineering course in CSE or IT department to become software engineer .

You need be graduate in computer Science Field with good academic track record.You can apply for Engineering in Computer or Information Technology.
And need to get pass with at lease first class to get good job.

In extra you can appear for external courses with Good Global certificates..

And most important have passion for programming.. Best Luck..

You can get number of good universities for admission which provide quality education and have better infrastructure facilities, if you want to pursue BCA. Some of them which you could consider are: Lovely Professional University, PU, Chitkara, Thapar, Osmania. Among them, I have read a lot about LPU which offers scholarships to students as well (based on good percentage in qualifying exam).
