what is the required qualification for get the IRS exam...pelase tell me the details

The minimum qualification required for applying for IRS is graduation from a recognised university.
Candidates, who have attained 21 years of age but not attained 30 years of age on August 1st of the year of examination are eligible to apply.

Civil Service Examination is in two stages-
Preliminary Exam
Main Exam.

The preliminary examination (prelims) is the process through which candidates are short listed for the main written examination.

If you will qualify the main (written) exam then you will be called for personal interview. Based on the marks secured in the main (written) and interview, a merit list is drawn up, which determines the choice of service.

IRS(Indian Revenue Services) Exam is conducted by the UPSC.You will able to apply for this exam through Civil Services Common Written Test that is conducted by the UPSC.To apply for this exam,you will require to meet these Eligibility Criteria :

Educational qualification :-

• Graduation degree in any discipline.
• Degree should be approved from the UGC/AICTE.

Age required :-

• Minimum age required to apply for this exam is 21 years.
• Maximum age allowed to apply for this exam is 30 years.

Age Relaxations :-

• OBC Category candidates will get 3 years of age relaxations.
• SC/ST Category candidates will get 5 years of age relaxations.

This exam will be conducted in three phases :-

1. CSAT Preliminary Exam.
2. Mains Exam.
3. Interview.

Syllabus for CSAT :This exam will include two papers.All questions will be objective type.Each paper will be of 2 hours and total marks for each paper will be 200.

• History of India and Indian national movement.
• Indian and world Geography.
• Indian Politics and and Government.
• Economic and Social development.
• General issues of Environmental ecology.
• General science.

PAPER II

• Comprehension.
• Interpersonal and Communication skills.

• General mental ability.
• Elementary Mathematics.

IRS Indian Revenue Service is one of the most respected service in India just after the IAS,IPS and the IFS.

The IRS personnels deals with the revenues which are collected through the taxes.In one way the IRS officers can also be called as the TAX administrators.

The IRS can be classified into two different departments,

1.Customs and Central Exercise(C & CE).

2.Income Tax(IT).



IRS examination is conducted by the UPSC every year.

Eligibility-:

Graduation from a recognized university.

Age limit-> The minimum age must be 21 years,whereas the maximum age should not be more than 30 years of age as on the 1st of August of the year of the examination.

3 years relaxation in the upper age for the OBC and 5 years for the SC/ST aspirants is applicable.

There is no specific exam as IRS Exam. To become an IRS(Indian Revenue Service) officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC every year.

Required Qualification For IRS, Civil Service Exam:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National.
-Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or passed in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.
-Should have possessed good Physical Fitness.
