What is the requirement to apply for UPSC under Non-Creamy Layer?

My father is high school headmaster. But he is going to retire in May, 2019. Will I come under OBC non creamy layer or not? Last year I appeared for UPSC Prelims in general category. Now, all I need know is whether for this year will I apply in OBC or non creamy layer?

Hi
As per my knowledge, OBC has two category, Creamy Layer and Non- Creamy Layer.
If a person earn more than 8 lakh per year then he treated as creamy layer, if less than 8 lakhs per year then Non- Creamy Layer. Govt gives reservation such as Age, passmark/cut off marks to Non-creamy layer candidate not the Creamy Layer. If yours father annual income less 8 laks per year then you applies as OBC in UPSC exam.

OBC creamy layer-who has early income more than 8 lakhs or government employees of greater than class 3 are not eligible for OBC quota. OBC non creamy layer-who has a early income below 8lakhs are government employees class 3 or below class 3 officers are eligible for OBC quota.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
