The minimum qualification required to apply for entrance exam for MBBS course is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as essential subjects. Candidate must have minimum of 50% marks in board exam of 10+2.
The entrance examination is called National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. NEET is conducted by CBSE every year for MBBS and BDS course. Apart from NEET, you can apply for AIIMS and JIPMER exam for joining MBBS course. So, after completion of 10th, you need to pursue 10+2 from a recognized board with Science stream with PCB subject group. |

Being a student of Class 10th to be a doctor in future you need to pursue your Class 12th Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from a recognized board after completing your Class 10th.
Further after completing your Class 12th you need to pursue MBBS ( Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery ) degree course followed by MD/MS ( Master of Doctor/Master of Surgery ) degree course which is then followed by a specialization course for becoming a doctor in your desired field. As far as you are concerned about the time required for becoming a doctor after your Class 10th then it would generally take two years for completing Class 12th, five and a half year for completing MBBS degree course along with one year of internship and two years for completing MD/MS degree course which means it would take around 10 years for you to become a doctor after completing your Class 10th. |
