Re: What should I do if came to know that I am not fit for doing MBBS?
MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and the as the name suggests it is a bachelor degree course of four years after pursuing which one steps towards becoming a doctor.
The basic educational qualification required for pursuing the same course is higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects or any equivalent degree course with 50 % aggregate. Now having secured 86% in your Class 11th which is reasonably a good aggregate, you are definitely eligible for pursuing the same course if you manages to secure over 50% aggregate in your 12th. So do not get confused that 86% in 11th is bad score and you are not eligible for pursing MBBS course. Also for pursuing the same course from government medical colleges to get quality education and reasonable cost you will need to clear clear PMT ( Pre-Medical Test ) like AIPMT, State PMT, BHU PMT, AIIMS entrance examination, etc.. For appearing in these examination, your aggregate in the above mentioned degree course must be 60% ( relaxation upto 10% is available for reserved category candidates ) as well as your age must lie within 17 years to 25 years by the 31st December of the same year in which you are appearing in the same examination ( relaxation of 5 years is applicable for reserved category candidates ). For more details and updates about any of these entrance examinations you can log on to their respective official links. |
