What should I study after 10th to join Police Department?
I have completed my 10th board exams and have cleared all papers. I am in interested to join Police Department. So, what should I opt for Intermediate and what should I study in graduation which will help me in joining Police Department?

You cannot become police officer after 10th standard. To become a police officer, you should have passed a bachelor degree from a recognised University and you have to apply for IPS exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.

You cannot join police department as a Police Officer after 10th. To become police officer, you should have passed a bachelor degree from a recognised University. You have to appear in the IPS examination conducted by UPSC every year.
Educational qualification to appear in civil services: Bachelor degree is required and there is no percentage required for this examination. Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years. |

You can complete your 10+2 standard and 10+2+3 in any stream to join police service. However, to join on a higher rank. You would ned to give Indian Police Service exam conducted by upsc.
As per the Indian Police Service notification, you must be a graduate from any recognized university with minimum 55% marks. You should be between the age group of 21 years to 30 years of age. Age relaxation is given to reserved categories. You should be in good health and mental state. |

You can join police department as a soldier after 10+2 standard from any subject.
If you want to become officer cadre then you have to appear in Civil Service Exam which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) of India once in a year. Candidate must have following education qualification to appear in this exam. 1. Candidate must have Graduate from any recognised university of India with atleast 50% marks. 2. Candidate must have citizen of India. 3.Age limits is from 21-30years.Age relaxation is also given as per the rule of Government of India. |
