I have completed my 3 years regular Diploma course in Electrical Engineering with 80%. Now, am I eligible to get direct 2nd year admission in B.Tech in any colleges providing lateral entry scheme?

B.Tech is Bachelor in Technology. It is four year course after std 12th in PCM but candidates can take admission through lateral entry in 2nd year of B.Tech course.

The admission in premier institute through lateral entry is conducted on the basis of entrance test. There is no direct admission.

So, you will have to appear and qualify in the examination to get admission in government and most of the private institutes.

The name of entrance examination is Lateral Entry Entrance Test. It is the examination for admission in 2nd year of Bachelor of Technology directly.

The minimum academic qualification required to apply for LEET exam is that you need to have at least 60% marks in diploma in engineering.

You have 80% marks in diploma in engineering, you can apply for LEET examination.
