The qualification needed to apply for Air force is a pass in engineering from a reputed institute/university. The age of the applicant must be between 19 and 23 years. Those who need to get into the air force must write CDS exam. There is interview, written and medical exam carried out. More details about CDS exam available in UPSC website.

Hi

NDA should be your first approach to join the Indian Air Force right after passing the Class 12th Board Exams.

NDA - National Defense Academy.

This is the Entrance Exam which is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year in the months of April as well as August.

Its held twice i.e NDA - 1 and NDA - 2.

The Basic Eligibility Criteria to apply for the NDA exam are as follows. Only if anybody satisfies these can apply and sit for this particular exam :-

1. You should be an Unmarried Indian Male having your age between 16.5 t 19 years as in the year of applying.

2. You must have passed Class 12th/ Appeared in it from a recognized school or state board and are a pass in all the subjects.

3. Physical fitness is also required and no relaxations are provided in this criteria.

4. Physics and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects which one must have studied in HS to be able to apply for the Indian Air Force/Navy.

Thus see and check that you satisfy all these, and then you can apply for the NDA Exam.

If you clear it, then the NDA authorities would call you for the Physical Test and the round of GD and SSB Interviews.

On clearing all these, you would be selected for the Navy, Air Force, Army whichever they think you would suit the best and you would be posted anywhere in India.

Hope this helps

All the best

DEAR FRIEND!!!

hi..

I really appreciate your desire to join Air Force. For this the best option for you is to join NDA(National Defense Academy).

You can join it by giving NDA exam conducted twice a year by UPSC.
For more details please visit. http://upsc.gov.nic.in

However you have another option to join air force after graduation(b.sc. or b.tech.). For this you have to appear for CDS examination.

You can also apply separately to air force after your graduation.

Thank you and all the best!!!
