SSC is meant for two job examination.
1. SSC-Staff Selection Commission 2. SSC-School Service Commission For staff selection commission there are various job for various qualification. They publish notification at various time at various post with qualification from 10th pass to graduate or master degree. In staff selection there are job for 10th pass candidates as well as for graduate pass candidates also. Go through the newspaper regularly and visit SSC official website to get the current notification. Apply for the job if you fulfill all the eligibility criterion. Official website for staff selection commission is http://ssc.nic.in there are different SSC regional website for different region in India. Another SSC is school service commission. Through this school teacher and other staff of school is recruited. SSC conducted examination to recruit for this post. for schools teacher in high school you must be graduate then only you will be eligible to appear in the SSC examination. One time in a year they publish for the teacher recruitment if you are eligible for this go through the newspaper regularly you will get the notification from there. to be prepared for both of the SSC you should have subject knowledge as well as general knowledge and some english knowledge. depending of the post in some examination there are only english and general knowledge examination. In few examination mathematics is also included with the general knowledge. If you want to apply for teacher post in high school then you should have your subject knowledge what you have studied in your graduation as well as general knowledge. So be prepare with your subject as well as with general knowledge. Also keep in touch with the english because in most of the SSC examination english is included with the other subject. There are so many books for general knowledge in market. You may buy few of them. But only book is not sufficient to improve your general knowledge and reasoning skill. You must be aware of the current affairs because most of the time general knowledge questions come based on the current affairs. to be familiar with the current affairs go through the newspaper regularly and also watch news in television. Try to be interested in all the section of newspaper like politics, technology, movie and entertainment, business, sports etc. For reasoning you may buy book by R. S. Agarwal. For general knowledge you may go through the book monoroma yearbook. There are some books on current affairs you may go through them if you are interested. best of luck. |

SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission. SSC conducts written examination so as to select eligible candidates for jobs in different government departments. This exam will be aptitude based tests. One should be have good knowledge about structure and pattern of this exam and prepare accordingly. Also try to refer model question papers before attending SSC exam. Some of the GK books written by Khanna and Verma, R Gupta, Lucent General Knowledge, General Knowledge by Rajpoot brotherhood, Arihant Publications etc can also be used as reference for SSC exam. Also you can refer magazines such as pratiyogita durpan, news papers, year books, competition success review etc.
