What are the steps I need to take to become a head constable? Which all courses and exam I need to prepare and complete? Can someone please provide me the information soon as possible? I want to get the job atleast.

To become the head constable you have to first on the constable post in any police force as in R.P.F., C.I.S.F., C.A.P.F. or in Delhi police or in any state government police as head constable is not so high post as the post of Sub Inspector and Inspector in the police department so you can also try for these posts but as you ask for the head constable so i am telling you for this.

>> If you got a post of constable then you will be promoted to the head constable after the completing of the period for the promotion. And now the forms for the post of the Constable, Sub inspector and Inspector are available and you can fill that according to your qualification and for the constable qualification is 12th and for S.I. and inspector and Assistant sub inspector is Graduation.

>> You can also got this job through the SSC G.D. group where you have to first pass the physical test and then the written exam. In the physical test the Race is required to pass 5 Km in 26 minute and Height required is 172 cms and chest is needed is 76-80 unexpanded and 5 cms of expand and long jump is 12 feet and high jump is 3.5 feet.

After 12th exam , You can apply for Head Constable.Central Government and State Government conducts exam to appoint head constable.You can apply for Central level constable before 3 october , 2015 on www.cisf.gov.in

Eligibility

Education Qualification
You must have passed (10+2) from recognized board.
Age Limit
Your age should be between 21 to 27 years of the examination year.Relaxation applicable 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

- You should be physically fit.
- You should have good typing speed : 30 words in english per minute and 25 words in hindi per minute.

Physical Standard Required
- Height : 165 cms
- Chest : 77-82 cms
- Weight should be in propertion to height.

- Physical Efficiency Test : Race , Long Jump , High Jump , Short Put
- Written Exam
- Medical Test

In order to apply for police constable you need to clear out a competitive exam. Public Service commission conducts the police constable exam in each state for the recruitment of police constable within the state. The notification of the test will be published in the leading newspaper of India.

Exam Details :

- Written exam
- Personal Interview.

Clearing of the above two stage will lead you to be a part of strict training programme. Once you clear all the stages then you will be selected as a Police Constable. Head Police Constable usually selected on the basis of experience and performance of work. So, first you need to become a police constable then only you can become head police constable.

Eligibility for Police Constable

- Aspirant have to clear 10+2 in any stream from recognized board.

- Applicant age should be above 18 years and should not be more than 22 years. There is a relaxation of 3 years for OBC category and 5 years for SC/ST category.

- Aspirant should be physically fit, should have clear eyesight without glasses.

- Height should be minimum 167 cms, chest 81 cms with a maximum increase of 5 cms.
