Sir, this side Suman Gupta from Nangloi, I want to know what to study in order to become a Government Teacher without wasting money?

To be a government school teacher, the minimum education required is a Class 12th in any discipline from a recognized Institute followed by D.Ed. (Diploma in Education) or D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) or equivalent teacher training course.

Further, with above mentioned qualification you will be eligible to apply for becoming teacher upto Class V by qualifying TETs (Teacher Eligibility Test) like CTET or State TETs.

In case you want to be a teacher of higher classes, you need to go for higher educational qualification i.e; graduation degree course followed by B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent from recognized Institute.

You can become teacher in government schools after qualifying in CTET or TET.

The eligibility to become eligible to appear for the examination is that candidate must have minimum intermediate qualification and possess diploma or bachelor degree in education.

Candidates can become eligible to get recruitment in government school as teacher after qualifying in the examination conducted at state/UT or national level.
