What subject combination is required at school board level exam to be eligible for CLAT?

If my child leaves Maths as a subject in ICSE and does ISC with Humanities. Will he be eligible for taking Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam for admission into various Law colleges across India?

Yes, you are eligible to appear for CLAT. CLAT is Common Law Admission Test and it is conducted for admission in B.A LLB and LL.M course.

The required minimum qualification to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized board in any stream. The minimum required aggregate is 45%.

There is no age limit to appear for the examination. For detail information about examination visit at www.clat.ac.in.

Yes, you are eligible for admission in law courses after 12th with any stream.

There is no limitation on the discipline of 12th stream to appear for CLAT examination.

The required minimum aggregate to appear for examination is 45%.

But, you have to appear and qualify for entrance examination for admission in National Law Universities.

CLAT refers to Common Law Admission Test and same is a national level entrance examination held for offering admission in LLB ( Bachelor of Legislative Law ) degree course of five years across various NLUs ( National Law Universities ).

For appearing in CLAT, any candidate holding citizenship of India and having completed his/her higher secondary school degree or equivalent degree in any discipline with 45% marks ( or 40% in case of SC/ST and PH category candidates ) are eligible. Students pursuing final year of their higher secondary school degree are also eligible. Also, there is no age limit.

So, it is quite evident that even you go for your higher secondary school degree in humanities stream then also you are eligible if you complete your Class 12th with minimum required percentage of marks.

For more details and updates regarding CLAT you can refer to the link www.clat.ac.in.

CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test and it is held for offering admission in LLB course in NLUs ( National Law Universities ) of India.

The minimum educational qualification required for appearing in CLAT is a higher secondary school degree in any stream with at least 45% marks from a recognized board of education. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST and PH category.

So it is evident from the mentioned educational requirement that your child will be still eligible for appearing in CLAT even if completes his/her intermediate degree course in humanities.

CLAT is conducted for admission in B.A LLB or LLM course.

CLAT is conducted by one of the National Law universities. The eligibility for appearing in entrance examination for admission in B.A LLB course is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board.

Candidates appearing for 12th board examination are also eligible to appear for examination. The minimum required aggregate is 45% in 12th.

There is no limitation on discipline ( stream ) to appear for examination.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination after 12th in Humanities stream. For detail regarding the CLAT visit at www.clat.ac.in.
