The SSC CGL Tier II Exam includes a paper on Statistics. The syllabus for the Statistics paper includes the following topics:
  • Collection, Classification, and Presentation of Statistical Data
  • Measures of Central Tendency
  • Measures of Dispersion
  • Moments, Skewness, and Kurtosis
  • Correlation and Regression
  • Probability Theory
  • Random Variable and Probability Distributions
  • Sampling Theory
  • Statistical Inference
  • Analysis of Variance
  • Time Series Analysis
  • Index Numbers

The questions in the Statistics paper for Tier II are generally based on the above topics. The questions can be both objective and descriptive in nature. The objective questions could be of multiple-choice, matching, or assertion-reasoning type, while the descriptive questions may require students to solve numerical problems, write short essays or perform data analysis.

To prepare for the Statistics paper for Tier II, candidates are advised to go through the syllabus and solve previous years' question papers. They can also refer to standard textbooks on Statistics and Probability theory.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
