SSC CGL is the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate level examination. CPT is the Common Proficiency Test. Both the exams are totally different. Questions asked in both exams are totally different.

In SSC CGL examination, questions asked are from following subjects:

1. General Awareness.

2. Quantitative Aptitude.

3. General Intelligence and Reasoning.

4. English.

In common Proficiency test, questions asked are from following subjects:

1. Quantitative aptitude.

2. Economics.

3. Mercantile law.

4. Fundamentals of Accounting.
