What is the water cement ratio followed? How to become a successful Civil Engineer?

What is the water cement ratio followed? How to become a successful Civil Engineer? I really wanted to understand what all things we need to be strong to become a successful civil engineer? Do we need to know all the details? or just learning the subjects and getting marks is enough?

Water-cement ratio is the ration of weight of water to the weight of cement utilized in a concrete mix.

The ratio has deep influence on the quality of concrete prepared.

Lower water-cement ratio gives higher strength and durability.

To be a successful Civil engineer, you must have following qualities like:
  • You must be able to share your ideas and calculations in a simple, compact and professional way.
  • You must be able to manage your time efficiently so that you can complete your projects on time.
  • You must have a perfect understanding of the physics (including statics, dynamics, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, etc.)
  • Good understanding of the construction/rehabilitation process.
  • Programming and Debugging skills (including Excel spreadsheets)
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
