i want to ask when we can fill for gate test and whts should the eligibility for gate test

The last date for submission of Online Application for GATE is 17th October, 2011.

Apply as early as possible.

The eligibility criteria for GATE-2012 is as under

Educational Qualification Requirement:

Final year students of B.E./B.Tech. or B.E. B.Tech. passed students.
or

Final year students of M.Sc. or M.Sc. passed students.
M.Sc. should be in Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent.
or

2nd year/ 3rd year/ 4th year student/passed student of
Four-year Integrated Master's degree program (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.

4th year/ 5th year student/passed student of Five-year Integrated Master's degree
program or Dual Degree program in Engineering/Technology.

Also, students with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by some
professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE & AMICE) as equivalent
to B.E./B.Tech. Also the students who have completed section A or equivalent of such
professional courses are also.

Age Limitation: No

Restriction as per marks in qualifying examination: No

GATE online registration has started and last date is 17 th october.

Gate entrance is conducted once in year.This score will be valid for 2 years.

Eligibility criteria for GATE entrance exam:
Candidate should have complete his/her course in B.Tech/B.E/Architecture
or
Candidate being in final year can also apply,if he/she belong to above mentioned course.

Important dates for GATE-2012:
Opening of application form is 12th Sep 2011.
Closing of application form is 17th Oct 2011.

Complete Information on GATE

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

The GATE exam takes place every year for admission into the best colleges for M.Tech like IITs,NITs,BITS,IISc and many more..

Last Date for submission of the GATE forms online is 17th October,2011 and in the offline mode..the last date is 24th October,2011

Eligibility :-

You should be in the final year of your engineering/technology or architecture or already having a degree

Candidates in the 2nd year or higher of the Integrated Master's Degree Program or in the final year of the Dual Degree Program..

There is no age limit for appearing in the GATE neither there is any age restriction for appearing in the GATE exam

Hello Sarabdeep,
The minimum qualification required to be eligible for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a bachelors degree in engineering, architecture or technology.

The application is already available on the official website of GATE and the last date to submit the application form is 17-10-2011.

The test will be conducted from 29-01-2012.

The score obtained in GATE-2012 will be utilized by above companies for inviting candidates for a personal interview for consideration for the position of Engineer Trainees.

“Pre-final year students are not eligible to write GATE 2012”


Eligibility for GATE Examination:

New information about GATE 2012:

1)Application Process: In GATE 2012, candidates need to register and fill the application ONLINE only by accessing the zonal GATE websites of IISc and seven IITs. Please note that sale of application forms through banks and GATE office counters have been discontinued.
2)Downloadable Admit Card: Sending Admit cards by post has been discontinued from this year. Admit cards can only be downloaded from the zonal GATE websites from 2nd January 2012. Bring the admit card to the test center along with at least one original (not photocopied / scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo identification.
3)Use of black ink ball point pen: The use of pencils to darken the bubbles in the answer sheet has been discontinued from this year. Candidates should use only black ink ball point pen for darkening.

I want to know, GATE exam conducted in a yearly or twice a year, and what is tentative duration for 2013 GATE exam online form filling duration.
Is is after March 2013, to fill Online form For GATE, please Suggest.

Respected sir, Please tell me that either a B. Tech(dairy technology) student is eligible for GATE or not ?
If yes, then please tell the procedure .
