When next CSAT exam held? I mean when it is going to held again in the next year 2016 for the IAS and IPS ranks?

The CSAT stands for the Civil Service aptitude test and that is conducted by the Union Public service commission of India. The exam is conducted in two stages of preliminary and mains exam.

Eligibility for the Exam is-

>> The candidate to be an Indian citizen and should fall in the age group of 21-31 years and the relaxation will be given as per the government policies for the reserved categories.

>> A subject of Nepal and Bhutan can also apply if he or she is migrated to India before 1962.

>> Candidate to be graduate in any stream and the final year and awaiting of result of final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

Important date for CSAT exam 2016

Online application start- 23rd April 2016

Last Date for Submission- 20th May 2016

Date of Civil Services Exam (Preliminary)- 7th August 2016

Civil Services Exam (Mains)- 3rd December 2016

Sorry, the notification for the CSAT 2016 is not released yet. The examination which is the first stage of the Civil Services examination conducted by the UPSC every year in the month of the August.

The expected schedule for the notification for the 2016 examination is May 2016. So you have to wait for it. To get the other information and notifications for the examination keep on visiting the official website www.upsc.gov.in.

The CSAT every year conducted in the month of the August so it is expected that the examination for the 2016 will be also conducted in the same but the notification for the 2016 examination is not yet released.

The notification for the examination is released in the month of the May every year. The examination is conducted by the UPSC. The examination is conducted in the three stages and the candidates after qualifying in each stage are eligible for the next stage.

Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT) is conducted by UPSC every year to conduct candidates for various posts like IAS, IPS etc. In order to apply for CSAT exam candidate have to pass his/her Graduation in any discipline from recognized university. Candidate age should not be less than 21 years but not more than 32 years. For cracking this exam there is a limitation for candidates belonging to General and OBC category as for instance: candidate belonging to General category has 6 attempts whereas for OBC category 9 attempts is provided to them. There is no such restriction to SC/ST candidates they can appear for CSAT exam as many time as they want.

Coming to exam date of CSAT exam for the year 2016. So here is the details

Date of Notification : 23.04.2016.

Last date to apply : 20.05.2016.

Exam date: 07.08.2016.

But most probably the examination for the CSAT will be conducted in the month of the August and then the candidates who qualify in it are eligible for the Mains in the next year.

* Indian Language (250 marks)

# Number of Permissible attempts:

* Six attempts for General category and OBC category.
* No any restriction on Scheduled Category and Scheduled Tribe category.

# Required educational qualification:

* Any bachelor degree from UGC recognised university.
* Candidates in final year or awaiting their result are also eligible

# Required age limit:

* Minimum age must be 21 years for all categories.
* Maximum age fixed is 32 years.
* However there is relaxation in upper age for certain reserved categories which is as follows:

> 5 years relaxation in upper age for Scheduled Caste Category
> 5 years relaxation in upper age for Scheduled Tribe Category
> 3 years relaxation in upper age for OBC Category
> 10 years relaxation in upper age for Physically Handicapped Category

CSAT is the Civil Service Aptitude Test conducted by UPSC to appoint civil service officers such as IAS , IPS , IFS etc.Generally Civil Service Exam CSAT notification comes in the month of May/June.Next CSAT notification will also come in May 2016.
