Re: Whether an ICSE student can attempt for JEE or medical examination?
ICSE refers to Indian Council of Secondary Education and same is one of the three Central board of education apart from CBSE and NIOS which offers admission upto higher secondary school degree in English medium.
Now as far as you are concerned about the eligibility of ICSE student for appearing in examinations like JEE and NEET then I would like to let you know that ICSE student are certainly eligible if they satisfy other requirements too as ICSE certificates is accepted for any degree or any examination. Now JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ) and NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) are national level entrance examination held by CBSE once every year. JEE is held for offering admission in undergraduate technical degree course i.e; B.Tech/B.Arch in premier technical college of India like IIT, NIT, IIIT, etc. while NEET is held for offering admission in MBBS/BDS degree course in any medical college India. Further for appearing in JEE you are required to have completed your Class 12th with PCM group with at least 45% marks from a recognized board. In case of admission in CFTIs marks in the Class 12th must be at least 75% marks ( 65% marks in case of SC/ST and PH category candidates ). Also for appearing in NEET you are required to have completed your Class 12th in PCB group with at least 50% marks ( 40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category ) from a recognized board. For more details JEE you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in where as for details regarding NEET you can refer to the link www.cbseneet.nic.in. |
