I need to know all the details regarding entrance exam of Intelligence Officer? What education is required? After B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a private college is it possible to apply for entrance exam of Intelligence Officer?

Yes. You are eligible to apply for the post of Intelligence Officer. Intelligence Bureau (IB) recruits the post of Intelligence Officer through entrance exam.

IB Assistant Intelligence Officer Eligibility
- You must have passed bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years from a recognized university.
- Your age must be between 18 to 27 years. Upper age relaxation applicable 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST.
- You must have basic knowledge of computer.

Selection Stages
- Written Exam Tier I
- Written Exam Tier II
- Interview

Written Exam Tier I
- All questions are objective type.
- Total Questions : 100
- Total Marks : 100
- Duration : 1 Hour
- Each correct answer will carry 1 mark and negative marking 1/4 for each wrong answer.

Syllabus
- General Knowledge : 25 Questions
- Quantitative Aptitude : 25 Questions
- Logical and Analytical Ability : 25 Questions
- English Language : 25 Questions

Written Exam Tier II
- All questions are descriptive types.
- Total Marks : 50
- Duration : 1 Hour
- For each wrong answer, Negative marking of 33% of total marks of question

Syllabus
- Essay Writing : 20 Marks
- English Comprehension and Precis Writing : 30 Marks

Interview
On the basis of performance of applicants in written exam Tier I and Tier II, shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview. selected candidates from Interview will be called for documents verification and medical examination.
