Will I get 5 years age relaxation in IES exam?
I m serving in Indian Air Force as non commissioned my rank is carporal
It is a central govt service will i get 5 years age relaxation in IES exam. |

The IES exam is conducted by UPSC...
See for this exam the eligibility criterion is given below- 1.you should be an indian citizen 2.you should be between 21-30 years of age. 3.there is age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 5 years of government servicemen.. 4.you should have a B.E/B.Tech degree in the notified stream with at least 60% marks. so as you have mentioned that you are working in the Indian Air-force so you can avail the age relaxation of 5 years , no doubt. you can download the previous year question papers from the below links- Paper-1 http://www.engineersinstitute.com/pdf/IES_2011_E_T_Engineering_objective_Paper_1.pdf Paper-2 http://www.engineersinstitute.com/pdf/IES_2011_E_T_Engineering_objective_Paper_2.pdf good luck |

I am defence personnel serving in Indian navy.I have completed AMIE Exam with 57%. I am falling in OBc catagory. shall i eligible for appearing IES with age relaxation of 08 years ie up to age of 38(05 03).

You will only get 5 years age relaxations in the IES exams which is conducted by UPSC if you meet the below conditions which are for the EX-servicemen.
Upto a maximum of five years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on 1st January, 2013 and have been released : (i) on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from 1st January, 2013 ) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, or (ii) on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or (iii) on invalidment |

I had completed by Engineering in 5 years with Second Class but if i add the passing marks of all the semesters then i got a aggregate % of 61.So Am i eligible for IES.Does IES counts the passing marks of all the semester.
