Will I be transferred from Hons. to General stream if I fail in Hons. subjects?


Suppose, if I pass in one General subject and I have fail in my Hons. paper will I be transferred to General Stream or I can retain my Hons. stream in 2nd year onward?

You will be given only one chance to clear your Honors paper's. If you will fail in any of the Honors paper's your Honors will be directly cancelled and you will be transferred to a General student. This is one of the rule by UGC and almost all the recognized college/institution/universities follow this rule only. The pass marks for clearing Honors paper is 45% below that you will be treated as a General student.

So, if you want to retain the Honors in your Bachelor level of study then you need to work hard and have to clear all the papers of Honors.
