I heard that online M. tech course is going to start in IITs . Is it true?

still now it is in discussion level. now also there is not online M.Tech course in IIT. there may be a chance that IITs may start online M.Tech course for the candidates those are working in industry and want to do higher study. but for their job they are unable to take admission in regular M.etch program.

this is totally in discussion level among the Head of IITs management tram. it may be implemented or may not be. but i think they will implement it very soon. because now a days it is really required. there are so many professional those want to do one degree from IITs. but for their job they are really unable to take admission in regular course in IITs. even they are also not getting chance to take admission in other institution also for their job.

in this situation it is really required to start some online M.Tech program by IIT which are the best technical institution in India. may be they will start within few years. but if you are planning to do M.Tech then you should take admission in M.Tech. because you should not wait for this facility. they may start it very soon but may be for some difficulty they may start it after few years. then may be your age will be more high and you will loose your interest to do M.tech. even after few years competition will be also high. so i think you should not wait for one new system if you are interested to do M.Tech now.

There is no online courses conducted by I.I.T.s. See now all the previous seven core I.I.T.s should not decide that they will provide the online M.Tech course. The management team of these I.I.T.s are discussing about online M.Tech course.

See to implement any kind of projects first there need some trial. So to implement the I.I.T.s need some time to run this project successfully.

It is quite sure that the online M.Tech. course will not start in 2012.

This is not a confirmed news but many discussions are going on that IIT will soon start its online M.tech course for those students who are engaged in jobs & wanted to pursue their studies too.

From the last few years many students expresses their desire to to start some online M.Tech program by IIT.But as it is just in the discussion level so it is advisable to you to not to wait for the result & better to Go for M.tech course as a regular mode or as a part time one without wasting your time.

The classes for this course may be conducted with live video lectures, the panel suggested. In a report submitted to the HRD ministry recently, the committee suggested that the IITs provide the executive MTech programme to 10,000 executives in an attempt to enhance their knowledge base and pave the way for more engineers to pursue doctorates.

A top IIT administrator said it will not be difficult for the institutes to implement the proposal as they have already developed course content for the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning.

%u201CWe can extend parts of the NPTEL syllabus to the executive MTech programme,%u201D he said.

Commending the initiative, Nasscom Education Initiative senior director Sandhya Chintala said, %u201CIt is a very good plan to offer working people a flexible option for higher studies. It gives them a chance to specialise in areas of interest to their companies.%u201D

However, Ms Chintala said the time lines for the course are unclear. %u201CThere is lot of fluidity as no proper timeframe for the course has been mentioned,%u201D she said.
