Myself pankaj mehra. And my question is that I had taken arts stream and have knowledge of physics and maths. And I want to get job in air force. Please sir tell me how can I get job in IAF. What things I have to do for get the job.

For various entrance exams of Indian Airforce, knowledge as well as subjects selection of Mathematics and Physics is necessary. Along with knowledge, you must have studied these subjects at certain academic level.

For example, in NDA exam, a candidate must have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level for NDA exam for Air force.

At bachelor's degree level, either bachelor's degree in science or engineering is necessary for AFCAT or CDS exam.

You can not apply for these exams with arts background.

We really appreciate your aspiration to get job in Air Force wing. Having knowledge in Physics and Maths is good. But, it is mandatory that you must have studied Physics, Mathematics at 12th standard. Arts stream students are not eligible to Air Force. However, you can apply for Indian Army wing. Those who completed 12th standard in any discipline are eligible to apply for Indian Army wing. The can join in Indian Army wing by qualifying the the NDA entrance exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every twice in a year.

No, you are not eligible to join Air Force wing with Arts stream as it is necessary to have Mathematics or Physics in 10+2.

To appear for NDA examination the eligibility is :-

Candidates must have passed or pursuing 10+2 from recognised board or equivalent degree.

Candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years.

Candidate must have Physics and Mathematics in 10+2 for Navy, Air Force and Naval Academy.

Only male candidates are eligible to appear for examination.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination but after qualifying you are eligible for recruitment in Army.

If your 12th standard subject are not Mathematics and Physics then you are not eligible for Indian Air force through NDA exam.

Candidate's who have completed the 12th standard with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA(Indian Air Force) exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
