Re: Can I become an IPS officer after studying arts?
IPS refers to Indian Police Service and to be an IPS officer you need to qualify Civil Services examination held by UPSC once every year.
--> The minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing in Civil Services examination are as here under :- i) You must be an Indian citizen. ii) Your age must lie in between 21 years to 32 years. Further there is provision of age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. iii) You must have either completed your graduation degree in any discipline or must be in the final year of same degree course from a recognized university. iv) You must satisfy the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms. Now as far as you are concerned about your eligibility for appearing in Civil Services examination after selection of Arts stream for your further studies then it is quite evident that for appearing in Civil Services there is no compulsion of any subject for appearing in same examination.
