Can somebody please tell me what is the career growth in Scientific Assistant'A' post in NIC.

Career Growth of Scientific Assistant A post of NIC:

NIC issues official notification for filling up several vacancies for various posts and this Scientific Assistant post is equivalent to Technical Assistant in NIC.

After getting selected for the post of Scientific Assistant in NIC, you are required to work under this post for some years and after getting some years of experience you will be promoted to "Senior Scientific Officer" in NIC.

The basis pay and Grade pay for these posts generally varies as both are different posts. Here is the basic different between both these posts an the Grade pay for Scientific Assistant would be around Rs.4000/- and Grade pay for Senior Scientific Officer would be around Rs.6000/-. So you are required to work for the starting level for some years in order to get into other top level posts.
