I have completed B.Sc(Forestry). Can I eligible for IBPS(SO) exam this year? Please let me know about this as soon as possible. Waiting for your reply.

Eligibility Criteria Required to Apply for IBPS Specialist Officer Examination:

No, I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to appear in IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment just after completion of B.Sc Forestry. Here is the basic educational qualification required for concerned posts.

>> For Agriculture Field Officer: 4 year Degree in Agriculture or in Veterinary Science, Horticulture or Pisciculture are eligible to apply.

>> For IT Officer: 4 year B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science/ IT/ ECE/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Electronics are eligible to apply (or) Any bachelor Degree with DOEACC level B Certificate.

>> For HR/ Personnel Officer: Any UG Degree and PG in Personnel Management/ Social Work/ Labour Law/ HR / Industrial Relations

>> For Law Officer: Bachelor Degree in Law and Enrolled as advocate in Bar Council

>> For Marketing Officer: Any UG degree and two years MBA/ MMS (Marketing)/ PGDBA/ PGDBM with marketing specialization.

Yes, you are eligible for IBPS (SO) exam after completing B.Sc(Forestry).
You are not eligible for the post of I.T. Officer, Marketing Officer and Law Officer.
But you are eligible for Agriculture field officer.

Age of candidate must be from 20-30 years. Relaxation of 3 years is provided to OBC candidates, 5 years to SC/ST candidates and 10 years to PWD candidates.

Age criteria:-

Minimum age-20 years

Maximum age-30 years

SC/ST : 5 years

I heard lots of rumors about eligibility of forestry students for the post of "Agriculture field officer". I am also forestry student, the latest notification which released for IBPS SO in January 2016 I think, does not included B.Sc Forestry, it is still Agro-forestry. Some people saying that I am eligible but others saying that IBPS later removed forestry students after the news came (Which is the forestry students are eligible for SO) I want to know exactly that am I eligible or not. Please inform. Thank You.
