I have completed my 12th with 1st division. I am pursuing B.tech (3rd yr)
from stream electronics and instrumentation. My age is about 18 years 8 month. I want to become a CID officer after completing my b-tech. So please tell me what can i do for that?

You are not eligible to become CID officer now.But after completing graduation you get eligibility for it.
The age should be between 20 to 27 years for general.
20 to 30 years-obc
20 to 32 years-sc/st
selection process:
written exam
physical test
personal interview
so,wait until completion of your graduation and then apply for CGL exam conducted by SSC.

CID - Crime Investigation Department.

This department solves the cases which are unable to manage by the police department.
To become CID officer, one has to follow the below mentioned steps.

* First the candidate need to take the qualifying exam which is conducted by the UPSC.

* The students qualified in the exam are selected for Interview round.

* After this round, there will be Physical fitness round through the candidates are selected for the various job positions.

To write the written exam, the candidate has fulfill the eligibility criteria.

ELIGIBILITY :

* Candidate should be citizen of India.

* Candidates age should range from 20-25 years.

* Age relaxation is applicable as per norms.

* Candidate should have passed graduation in any discipline from any recognized university or institution.
