How many candidates appear in IBPS exam every year? Age limit and maximum attempt for IBPS exam?


Hello everyone, as IBPS has great impact over the candidates for entering into Banking Sector, so I want to know that every year how many candidates gives this recruitment exam. And I also want to know about the age limit for appearing and how many maximum times one candidate can appear in IBPS exam.

IBPS examination is an entrance examination conducted by IBPS to fill up the vacancies in various government jobs. Almost more than 10 lakh candidates appear in IBPS examination every year. Candidates who have passed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a recognised university and those who have the minimum age of 20 years are eligible to apply for IBPS examination.

IBPS conducts entrance examination for recruitment in banking jobs.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

The age limit is :-

Clerk - 20-28 years.

PO - 20-30 years.

There is relaxation in upper limit for reserved category. There is no limitation on number of attempts to appear for examination.

To be eligible to appear in IBPS examination, you should have passed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a Government recognised university. The age criteria required to apply for IBPS examination is 20 to 28 years for Clerk and 30 years for PO posts. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules to apply for IBPS examination. The maximum number of attempts to apply for IBPS examination is 4 times for General category, 7 times for OBC and no limit for SC/ST category candidates. Approximately more than 10 lakh candidates appear in IBPS examination every year.

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. This exam is conducted by the 19 Public Sectors Banks of India every year for recruitment in the Government Banking Job Section.

IBPS exam is conducted for mainly two types of post that is IBPS Clerk and for the IBPS PO.

A candidate holding Graduation degree in any discipline from the recognized university are applicable for applying both the examination.

For applying this examination a candidate must be aware with basic computer knowledge or a candidate must have the computer subjects in their 10+2 graduation degree.

There is no any percentage criteria for applying the examination.

There is no any attempt criteria as well you can apply it till you not qualify it in, till your age fall in the age limit criteria.

Candidate age must be 20-30 years with relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category.

Every year various Lakhs aspirants apply in banking sector. Number is not limited.
Number of attempts is not limited. You can apply till you won’t get selected.
Age criteria-
For clerk- it should be 21 years to 28 years.
For PO- it should be 21 years to 30 years.
Age relaxation will be given as per the rules of government.

Age limit- 21 years to 30 years.
Age relaxation- 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
Number of attempts are not limited.

Lakhs of students are appearing every year. No one can say exact number of candidates.

Usually, the number of students appearing in the IBPS exam is increasing every year. In average, 15 to 30 Lakh students apply for IBPS every year.

=> Age Limit:

>>Candidates age should be between 20 and 30 year.

=> There is no bar on the appearing limit of a candidate.

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personel Selection conducts PO exam for 20 Public Sector Banks from time to time.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts to IBPS PO exam which means an eligible candidate can apply and appear for the same as far as he or she fulfills all eligibility criteria.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final graduation degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognized university within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for the reserved category with good knowledge over computer operation.
