Maximum age limit for ex service man for Government Job.

1. Number of years of actual Military Service reduced from age, for recruitment in state service.

2. ESM are given relaxation in age only. Vide SRO-286 dt 02 SEP 2003, ESM are being upto the age of 53 years. Total service rendered in Armed Forces+3 years.

Maximum Age limit for ex-serviceman is 33 years if you belong to UR (Unreserved Category) and 36 years if you are in OBC (Other Backward Caste) and 38 years if you are in SC (Scheduled Caste) or Scheduled Tribe (ST). Generally, ex-serviceman gets relaxation in age upto 5 years.

The eligibility criteria for the ex - serviceman to get into government sector is given below:-

Eligibility:-
Candidates age should be 45 years for security guard, 50 years for clerical cadre, 50 years for sub - staff, 55 years for chief security officer, 40 years for security officers.
Candidate should complete a minimum of bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognised University or institution for clerical cadre and 12th or equivalent for the post of security officers or guard.
The candidate must show the retirement order during the submission of application forms.

Age limit for Ex Servicemen Candidates in Government Jobs:

The detailed age limit and relaxation given to the Ex Servicemen candidiates in Government Sector is given below,

Name of the Sector - Government Sector

@ Usually the age criteria varies from one government recruitment to another government recruitment.

@ Generally, for the appointment to any vacancy in Group A or Group B filled by the Direct recruitment based on the result declared by the examinations conducted by UPSC in an All India Competitive Examinations who have rendered at least 5 years military service shall be given 5 years age relaxation to the upper age limit.

@ For UPSC based Administrative Services Examination the uoper age limit would be 37 years for Ex Servicemen Candidates. Hence I suggest you to go through the particular notification of the concerned recruitment for information of age criteria.

As per Government orders issued by the Ministry of Defence and other Government authorities, Ex-Servicemen can avail the benefits of reservation and age relaxation. There are no restrictions to joining Government jobs for Ex-servicemen and it does not matter in which year he got retired from the Armed Forces. He should meet the education, age, and other specific criteria as per the recruitment notification issued by the employer organization. Ex-Servicemen quota for Government jobs is applicable up to 60 years of age.

The maximum age limit is 53 years for an ex-serviceman in Government Job.
A further concession of three years in age is given to the applicant on top of the reduction for service in the Defense Forces from the applicant's actual age.
