Re: Procedure to become a deputy commissioner of my district
There is no direct recruitment available for the post of DCP. IPS officers get DCP rank through promotion. So to become an IPS officer, you will have to write Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC every year.
UPSC conducts civil services exam to make recruitment in Indian Police Services. Eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam :- -The candidate must be a citizen of India. -The candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized college or university. -The candidate age should be in between 21 years to 32 years for general category. Upper age limit is relaxed for OBC by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. -Selection criteria :- * Preliminary Examination (Objective Type), * Mains Examination (Conventional Type), * Personal Interview & Group Discussion. |

Re: Procedure to become a deputy commissioner of my district
I am student of law (5 year course). I am in 2nd year now. I wish to attempt MPSC. Can I apply for MPSC examination (after getting BLS degree next year)? Or I have to wait for LLB certificate?
