What are the requirements and qualifications to become an insurance agent?

You must be over 18 years of age.

You should have completed education up to at least Class 10.

You need to have a valid Aadhaar Card and PAN Card.
You will be then be asked to complete compulsory 15-hour training specified by IRDAI.

1. Seek out the insurance agent application, and submit your basic details as required.

2. Training: Next, you will be required to complete the basic training that has been mandated by the IRDAI, which can be online or offline.

3. This training typically takes 15 hours and can easily be completed within two to three days.

Steps on how to take GIC Agency for LIC Agent:-

1. Meet with the Development Officer (DO) at the LIC branch
2. Submit an application form
3. Clear the Pre-Recruitment Examination
4. Undergo training
5. Obtain a license
