The candidate must have good health and character and suitability in all respects for appointment to Government service.

Minimum WBCS Age Limit
Group A and C – 21 years
Group B – 20 years (For West Bengal Police Service only)
Group D – 21 years.

Qualification:

1. You must have completed a graduation course in any stream - arts/commerce/ science, computer science, etc.

2. You must have scored 55% or more percentile in graduation course.

3. You must be in the age group of 18 years to 30 years old.

The educational qualification required to apply for west bengal school service commission for computer Science teacher is given below:-

1)You should have completed Graduation i.e, Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from recognized University.
2)The candidates who have completed MCA or M.Sc.(Computer Science) are also eligible.
3)Bachelor of Education is not at all required, any post graduate who have ‘A’ Level from DOEACC or B or C Level from ‘DOEACC’ Ministry of Information and Communication Technology is eligible. However, he must have the ability to teach in English and Hindi Language.

Must be graduate in general stream/Science/ commerce with computer science or computer application as a subject of atleast 300 marks at the degree level from a recognised university .

Eligibility criteria for School service commission in West Bengal in computer science subject:-

Educational qualification: Candidates must be a
Graduate in General Stream in Arts/Science/Commerce with Computer Science or Computer Application as a subject of at least 300 marks at the degree level from any UGC recognized University. 5% marks relaxation for reserved category candidates.

Eligibility criteria required to apply for College Service Commission is Candidate must have passed Bachelor 's Degree (Minimum 50% Marks) in the relevant subject with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or its equivalent OR Two years’ integrated B.Sc.Ed. course or an equivalent course. Age limit required to apply for this is 21 to 40 years. Upper age relaxation are available for reserved category candidates.
